At its core MM-Suisse exists to see transformation in families and communities. Our mission is to train, equip and support local teams who work alongside communities to help them find their own solutions.

About the Leaders

Dave and Ali Swann are both British and have served with YWAM since 1989; they have two grown daughters, Michal and Sophie. Dave loves playing, watching or talking about sport - particularly football. He also likes to cook and watch films. Ali enjoys Dave’s cooking, is a keen gardener and likes to keep fit and healthy.
We travel extensively to maintain strong relationships with our field teams and support the leaders. We love spending time with them to bring advice and encouragement.
We are committed to continual support of several long term community development projects. We teach on YWAM degree level schools especially those focused on community development and leadership. We are part of the leadership of Mercy Ministries internationally and the African Elders team. We also offer consultancy for YWAM and other agencies. Ali is a certified debriefer through Le Rucher Ministries and Dave is on the Board of two NGOs.

‘’We know that our village is not easy to access because of the road condition, and we don’t see many people come to visit us often. I was really impressed and curious to hear what this team from Mercy Ministries had to tell us when they came to our village. Because of their visit, we have heard the Good news of Christ for the first time and now I know that they were sent by God to us ; now I know there is a God in Heaven who love us and want to save us. Thank you for coming to our village’’

Our Values
In our experience, we have found that sustainable, long term transformation has to address personal and cultural beliefs. When people move towards a Biblical understanding of their world it brings hope, dignity and freedom to change. We have seen that when people grow in their understanding this naturally leads to changes in their behaviour which influences others in the community.

Biblical Worldview

“Mr Khue and his family were ranked as a family in poverty. When he heard about the cow bank project, he was the first to sign up. Their first cow quickly became pregnant and he was able to transfer the first calf to another family in the project. He decided to invest in more cows and hoped to have 3-4 cows - the family now has 13 cows. His bold investment was made possible through the training and support of YWAM Mercy Vietnam. Recently he decided to reinvest in more diverse livestock production - they are no longer considered to be a family in poverty.”
